Peer To Peer Mentor Program

The peer to peer mentor Ambassadors Program is a program that includes peer to peer interaction. All freshman CS students are assigned to a senior Computer Science student (peer mentor). The student mentor signs a contract that commits them to at least one year of mentorship. After students are assigned a peer mentor the mentee is required to meet with their mentor at least 3 times a semester or more. The program often bridges the gap between freshman computer science students and seniors. It also allows senior students to serve as a mentor to incoming freshman students while impacting student retention.
