Derrick Warren

Derrick Warren is currently the Vice President and Global Relationship Partner for the IBM Global Services Cendant Account. In this role, he is responsible for the overall Cendant/IBM relationship, which is one of the largest IBM Travel and Transportation Accounts in the company. Additionally, he ensures the alignment of the Cendant/IBM goals and objectives, resolves escalated issues and/or disputes, reviews long-term plans, business trends, and directions, coordinates participation of all IBM Services Lines of Business (LOB) for Cendant, and reviews the Executive Snapshot and Financial results .
Prior to this assignment, Derrick was Sr. Project Executive for IBM Global Services – Federated Department Stores/Federated Systems Group Account and Director of Web Hosting for IBM Global Services (IGS) Service Delivery Center (SDC) - West in Boulder, Colorado.
Mr. Warren is a Certified IBM Executive Project Manager and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) with over 21 years of Information Technology experience in e-business delivery, project management, customer account management, application development/maintenance, managed operations, systems programming, information systems management, networking, disaster recovery, quality (ISO 9001), financial, and personnel management. Mr. Warren's specialties include Customer Relationship/Client Focus Management, Industry Expertise and Service Delivery Excellence. Derrick has been an innovative leader in delivering value-added solutions to IBM customers. He has published articles in industry magazines and is an accomplished speaker at business symposiums, conferences, and universities across the U.S and abroad.
Derrick is the recipient of numerous business, social, and civic awards including the IBM Community Service, IBM Leadership, 100% Club, Golden Circle and IBM Division awards. He was also named “Scholar-in-Residence” by the Southern University Honors College , YMCA Adult Achiever and Master of Ceremonies for the 1997 Junior Olympic Games. Most recently, Derrick was selected for IBM's “On Demand” Thinker Campaign and has been featured in several popular business publications including Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, The Economist, Money Magazine, Barron's, CIO, CFO, as well as several International publications.
Mr. Warren is a life member of the Southern University Alumni Association and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. He also lists membership in the Society for Information Management and IBM Project Management Board. As the son of schoolteachers, Derrick has a deep passion for educational causes. He currently serves on the boards of ARCH (Artists Raising the Consciousness of Humanity) Productions, a teenage incident avoidance program; Atlanta CIS (Communities in Schools), a teenage dropout prevention program and the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund Technology Advisory Committee, where he serves as Chairperson.
A native of Bastrop , La. , Derrick is a former Student Government Association President and cum laude honor graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge , La. with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He earned an MBA from the University of South Florida in Tampa where IBM, as part of the school's Executive MBA Program, sponsored him.
Derrick currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and college sweetheart, Anita; their sons, Derrick II and Dillon vonTroy; and daughter Dhalyn Vene'.
